Cimento® Tondo and Canton take center stage in two rooms of the exhibition. Designer and art director Elisa Ossino explains: “Whether rough or smooth, heavy or light, organic or sensual, the materials used in architecture have a significant impact on how spaces are experienced and how interior projects are conceived. For many years, I’ve been conducting research aimed at both deepening our understanding of material nature and pushing their potential to achieve unexpected results. Even in an increasingly digital and virtual world, we still have an ancestral need to physically touch and ‘feel’ objects.”
