The project “LCA STUDY FOR THE OPTIMIZATION OF INNOVATIVE PRODUCTS” was presented and admitted to funding through the regional call POR-FESR 2014-2020 of the Veneto Region, called “Call for support for the purchase of innovation services by SMEs ” ” in implementation of AXIS 1″ RESEARCH, TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT AND INNOVATION”, Action 1.1.2 “Support for the purchase of serviced for technical, strategic, organizational and commercial innovation of companies”.

The project is based on the implementation of an environmental impact assessment study of products made by SAI Industry, through the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) method, which defines the origin of the consumption of the resources and of emissions into the environment of a product, in this case it goes from the extraction of necessary raw materials, up to the exit from SAI Industry’s plant as a finished product (cradle-to-gate).

The aim for the LCA study is to understand and study the environmental impact of SAI Industry’s production and identify improvements at an operational level, that is modifying or making the production method more efficient, and by working on the supply chain and in collaboration with our stakeholders.

Indeed, the project has identified some points where to improve the ecological aspect of our products, and we are in fact creating an action plan in the field of sustainability and circular economy that will allow the company to ensure the lowest possible environmental impact for our actions.

Amount financed contribution granted equal to € 12,576.00.
